I love myself the way I am there's nothing I need to change

I'll always be the perfect me there's nothing to rearrange

I'm beautiful and capable of being the best me I can

and I love myself just the way I am.

I love you just the way you are there's nothing you need to do

when I feel the love inside myself it's easy to love you

behind your fears, your rage and tears

I see your shining star

and I love you just the way you are.

I love the world the way it is, cause I can clearly see

that all the things I judge are done

by people just like me

so till the birth of peace on earth

that only love can bring

I'll help it grow by loving everything.

I love myself the way I am and still I want to grow.

But change outside can only come

when deep inside I know

Romance

Romance, who loves to nod and sing
With drowsy head and folded wing
Among the green leaves as they shake
Far down within some shadowy lake,
To me a painted paroquet
Hath been—most familiar bird—
Taught me my alphabet to say,
To lisp my very earliest word
While in the wild wood I did lie,
A child—with a most knowing eye.

Of late, eternal condor years
So shake the very Heaven on high
With tumult as they thunder by,
I have no time for idle cares
Through gazing on the unquiet sky;

Happiness

Happiness

So early it's still almost dark out.
I'm near the window with coffee,
and the usual early morning stuff
that passes for thought.

When I see the boy and his friend
walking up the road
to deliver the newspaper.

They wear caps and sweaters,
and one boy has a bag over his shoulder.
They are so happy
they aren't saying anything, these boys.

I think if they could, they would take
each other's arm.
It's early in the morning,
and they are doing this thing together.

They come on, slowly.
The sky is taking on light,
though the moon still hangs pale over the water.

Such beauty that for a minute
death and ambition, even love,
doesn't enter into this.

Happiness. It comes on
unexpectedly. And goes beyond, really,
any early morning talk about it.

আমার জীবন ভালোবাসাহীন গেলে
কলঙ্ক হবে কলঙ্ক হবে তোর,
খুব সামান্য হৃদয়ের ঋণ পেলে
বেদনাকে নিয়ে সচ্ছলতার ঘর

বাঁধবো নিমেষে। শর্তবিহীন হাত
গচ্ছিত রেখে লাজুক দু’হাতে আমি
কাটাবো উজাড় যুগলবন্দী হাত
অযুত স্বপ্নে। শুনেছি জীবন দামী,

একবার আসে, তাকে ভালোবেসে যদি
অমার্জনীয় অপরাধ হয় হোক,
ইতিহাস দেবে অমরতা নিরবধি
আয় মেয়ে গড়ি চারু আনন্দলোক।

দেখবো দেখাবো পরস্পরকে খুলে
যতো সুখ আর দুঃখের সব দাগ,
আয় না পাষাণী একবার পথ ভুলে
পরীক্ষা হোক কার কতো অনুরাগ।

বৃষ্টির প্রতিশোধ

বলেছে সে বৃষ্টিতে ভিজতে ভালোবাসে দুহাত মেলে,
নাজুক কলমি লতার মতো মেঘের সরবোরে।
আমি তো মেঘের গোপন খবর আগাম জানতে পারি,
হিংসায় জ্বলে পুরে মরি; কতো দীর্ঘ হবে এবার আষাঢ় মাস?

কি জানি কতো যুগ আগের প্রেমিক তার বৃষ্টি হয়ে আসে,
ষড়যন্ত্রের মতো সুবিন্যস্ত অভিসন্ধি নিয়ে তির্যক তীরের মতো ,
চুলের গোঁড়া থেকে নাভির গভীরে ছুড়ে দেয়া সুদীর্ঘ চুম্বন
চোখের পাতা ও ঠোঁটের ডগা বেয়ে বাতাবী লেবুর মতো বুকে!
হিমালয়ের শীত পেটে নিয়ে সরসর সাপের মতো একেবেকে,
কোথায় না ছুঁয়ে যায় তার চঞ্চল প্রেমিকের গোপন অসভ্য আঙ্গুল !

শরীরের তাহার প্রশ্রয়ের আলিঙ্গন, আহ্লাদে গলে বৃষ্টির ফোঁটা,
ষড়যন্ত্রের মতো সুবিন্যস্ত অভিসন্ধি, সে কি বুঝেও বোঝেনা তা!
আবেশে তাহার চোখ কাঁপে তির তির, তৃপ্তির শিহরণ ভেজা সারা গায়ে।
আমি হিংসায় দাউ দাউ করি আগুনের মতো, জিঘাংসার ব্রত বুকে নিয়ে।

হয়তো সহস্র জনম পরে পবিত্র বৃষ্টি হয়ে জন্ম নেবো এই ঘোর আষাঢ়ে: শত তপস্যার ফলে,
ভালবাসার চাবুক চালাবো তার সমস্ত শরীরে, প্রতিশোধের মতো নির্দয়ে, ভিজাবো সে জলে।
অধর নিংড়ে তাহার নিতম্ব ছুঁয়ে দেবো নিশ্চয়, অবাধে নির্ভয়ে; আমাকে নিও চিনে,
আষাঢ়ের সুবিন্যস্ত বৃষ্টির প্রতিটি ফোঁটায়, কামুক বর্ষা ঋতুর বৃষ্টিময় প্রতিটি দীর্ঘ দিনে।

জানালায় বৃষ্টির ছটা
হৃদয়ের কপাট খোলা,
তুমি আমি বসি মখোমুখি
কিছু কথা যায়না বলা।

পাশে এসে হাত খানি ধরো
এই বর্ষার ঋতু আগমনে,
নি:সঙ্গতার রিম ঝিম ভেঙ্গে দাও
চোখে চোখ প্রেম নিবেদনে।

এভাবেই বসি কিছু কাল
যতো দিন বৃষ্টি না ফুরায়,
ততো দিন নেশা লেগে থাক
যতো দিন চোখ না জুড়ায়।

চৌকিতে শীতল পাটি
মাটির ঘর টিনের চালা ,
টিপ টিপ বৃষ্টি চুঁয়ায়
খোলা তবু সেই জানালা!
রাত আরো গভীর হলে
বারে যেন বৃষ্টি ধারা ,
তুমি আমি শুধু জেগে রই
কথা নয় কাব্য ছাড়া।
সারা দিনের ক্লান্তি ভুলে
পাশা পাশি শুই দুজনে,
রিম ঝিম বৃষ্টির গানে
কত কথা পরছে মনে!
কতো কথা হয়নি আজো
কতো স্বপ্নের বিমূর্ত নাচ,
চোখে চোখে কতো কথা হয়!
শিহরিত মুহূর্ত রাঙ্গা লাজ।
আজ ভালোবাসো গো আমায়
মায়া ভেঙ্গে একটু তাকাও,
বর্ষার প্রথম বৃষ্টিতে
তুমি আজ আমায় ভেজাও ।

কত বৃষ্টির রীম্ঝিম শব্দ বুকে নেয়া স্তব্ধ মেঘ!
কতো ঘুমন্ত বৃষ্টির ফোটা বুকে নেয়া ক্লান্ত মেঘ!
কত তৃষ্ণার্তের তীব্র চাওয়া বুকে নেয়া মৌন মেঘ!
একটু একটু করে জমানো কথার মত তারা তবু,
হাতে হাত ধরা বৃষ্টির ফোটা সব
মেঘ ভেঙ্গে যখন পৃথিবীতে নামে,
আমরা হাতে হাত ধরে পথে নামি,
আমরা দল বেঁধে গান গাই,
আমরা পবিত্র হই সেই বৃষ্টির স্নানে,
প্রাণ ফিরে আসে সব মৃত প্রায় ফসলের প্রানে,
চাতক পাখির ঠোঁটে হীরকের মত বৃষ্টির জল,
প্রানবন্ত পৃথিবী! দেখি ঘুম ভাঙ্গা রিমঝিম সব বৃষ্টির ফল।

বৃষ্টি এসে জানালার শার্শিতে
নুপুর বাজায় !
বৃষ্টি এসে চোখের পাপড়িতে নাচে
বৃষ্টি নামায়!
ভিঁজে ঘাস, ভিঁজে মাটি,
ভেঁজা কবুতর গুঁটি শুটি
নাচের মুদ্রায় দোলে গাছ
গাছের পাতায় বৃষ্টির নাচ,
উৎসব! উৎসব!
বৃষ্টি নেমেছে! বৃষ্টি!
বৃষ্টি ভেঁজাবে সব!
কবির ক্লান্ত হাতেও তখন কলম উঠে যায়
দক্ষ শিকারীর হাতে যেমন ওঠে তীর বল্লম,
বৃষ্টিতো জানেনা আজ আমার কবিতার সাথে অভিমান
আজ আমি কবিতা লিখতে চাই নি, তবুও লিখলাম।

এক বুক কবিতা নিয়ে পথে পথে হাঁটে কবি
দুই চোঁখ কবিতা নিয়ে বৃষ্টিতে ভিজে কবি
তিন ইন্দ্রিয় কবিতার সম্মোহনে বুঁদ হয়ে রয়,
জল রঙে কতোটুকু আঁকা যায় তারে,
কতটুকু ধরা দেয় আর মুদ্রণ অক্ষরে?

ইচ্ছে করে আকাশে এক ঝাঁক তীর ছুড়ে বুক পেতে ধরি।

এফোঁড় ওফোঁড় করে বন্ধা মাটিতে গাঁথুক সেই সব তীর,
সেই খানে ফুল ফুটুক, রঙ ঝড়ুক
সেই ফুলে মধু ভরুক, ভোমরা উড়ুক,
ভোমরার গুঞ্জরণে বাতাসে উঠুক ঢেউ
সে ঢেউয়ের লোনা জলে সমুদ্র দেখুক কেউ
দেখুক সবুজ অরন্যের দ্বীপ দূর সমুদ্র গহ্বরে
এক ঝাঁক মেঘ এসে ঢেকে দিয়ে গেছে তারে,
সে মেঘে বৃষ্টি আসে প্রেমের মতন; যদি কেও ভিঁজে যাও
তোমরাও তখন দিব্যলোকে কবিতা দেখতে পাও!

আকাশে আষাঢ় এলো; বাংলাদেশ বর্ষায় বিহবল।
মেঘবর্ণ মেঘনার তীরে-তীরে নারিকেলসারি
বৃষ্টিতে ধূমল; পদ্মাপ্রান্তে শতাব্দীর রাজবাড়ি
বিলুপ্তির প্রত্যাশায় দৃশ্যপট-সম অচঞ্চল।
মধ্যরাত্রি; মেঘ-ঘন অন্ধকার; দুরন্ত উচ্ছল
আবর্তে কুটিল নদী; তীর-তীব্র বেগে দেয় পাড়ি
ছোটে নৌকাগুলি; প্রানপনে ফেলে জাল,টানে দড়ি
অর্ধনগ্ন যারা,তারা খাদ্যহীন,খাদ্যের সম্বল।
রাত্রি শেষে গোয়ালন্দে অন্ধ কালো মালগাড়ি ভরে
জলের উজ্জ্বল শষ্য, রাশি-রাশি ইলিশের শব,
নদীর নিবিড়তম উল্লাসে মৃত্যুর পাহাড়।
তারপর কলকাতার বিবর্ণ সকালে ঘরেঘরে
ইলিশ ভাজার গন্ধ; কেরানীর গিন্নির ভাঁড়ার
সরস সর্ষের ঝাঁজে।এলো বর্ষা,ইলিশ -উৎসব।

আবার এসেছে আষাঢ় আকাশ ছেয়ে--
আসে বৃষ্টির সুবাস বাতাস বেয়ে।
এই পুরাতন হৃদয় আমার আজি
পুলকে দুলিয়া উঠিছে আবার বাজি
নূতন মেঘের ঘনিমার পানে চেয়ে
আবার এসেছে আষাঢ় আকাশ ছেয়ে।

রহিয়া রহিয়া বিপুল মাঠের 'পরে
নব তৃণদলে বাদলের ছায়া পড়ে।
এসেছে এসেছে এই কথা বলে প্রাণ,
এসেছে এসেছে উঠিতেছে এই গান,
নয়নে এসেছে, হৃদয়ে এসেছে ধেয়ে।
আবার আষাঢ় এসেছে আকাশ ছেয়ে।

নীল নবঘনে আষাঢ়গগনে তিল ঠাঁই আর নাহি রে।
ওগো, আজ তোরা যাস নে ঘরের বাহিরে।
বাদলের ধারা ঝরে ঝরঝর,
আউশের ক্ষেত জলে ভরভর,
কালি-মাখা মেঘে ও পারে আঁধার ঘনিছে দেখ্ চাহি রে।
ওগো, আজ তোরা যাস নে ঘরের বাহিরে।।

ওই ডাকে শোনো ধেনু ঘনঘন, ধবলীরে আনো গোহালে।
এখনি আঁধার হবে বেলাটুকু পোহালে।
দুয়ারে দাঁড়ায়ে ওগো দেখ্ দেখি
মাঠে গেছে যারা তারা ফিরিছে কি,
রাখালবালক কী জানি কোথায় সারা দিন আজি খোয়ালে।
এখনি আঁধার হবে বেলাটুকু পোহালে।।
শোনো শোনো ওই পারে যাবে বলে কে ডাকিছে বুঝি মাঝিরে।
খেয়া-পারাপার বন্ধ হয়েছে আজি রে।
পুবে হাওয়া বয়, কূলে নেই কেউ,
দু কূল বাহিয়া উঠে পড়ে ঢেউ,
দরদর বেগে জলে পড়ি জল ছলছল উঠে বাজি রে।
খেয়া-পারাপার বন্ধ হয়েছে আজি রে।।
ওগো, আজ তোরা যাস নে গো, তোরা যাসনে ঘরের বাহিরে।
আকাশ আঁধার, বেলা বেশি আর নাহি রে।
ঝরঝর ধারে ভিজিবে নিচোল,
ঘাটে যেতে পথ হয়েছে পিছল,
ওই বেণুবন দুলে ঘনঘন পথপাশে দেখ্ চাহি রে।
ওগো, আজ তোরা যাস নে ঘরের বাহিরে।।

বর্ষার দিনে

এমন দিনে তারে বলা যায়
এমন ঘনঘোর বরিষায় -
এমন মেঘস্বরে বাদল-ঝরঝরে
তপনহীন ঘন তমসায়।।

সে কথা শুনিবে না কেহ আর,
নিভৃত নির্জন চারি ধার।
দুজনে মুখোমুখি গভীর দুখে দুখি,
আকাশে জল ঝরে অনিবার -
জগতে কেহ যেন নাহি আর।।

সমাজ সংসার মিছে সব,
মিছে এ জীবনের কলরব।
কেবল আঁখি দিয়ে আঁখির সুধা পিয়ে
হৃদয় দিয়ে হৃদি-অনুভব -
আঁধারে মিশে গেছে আর সব।।

বলিতে ব্যথিবে না নিজ কান,
চমকি উঠিবে না নিজ প্রাণ।
সে কথা আঁখিনীরে মিশিয়া যাবে ধীরে,
বাদলবায়ে তার অবসান -
সে কথা ছেয়ে দিবে দুটি প্রাণ।।

তাহাতে এ জগতে ক্ষতি কার
নামাতে পারি যদি মনোভার!
শ্রাবণবরিষনে একদা গৃহকোণে
দু কথা বলি যদি কাছে তার
তাহাতে আসে যাবে কিবা কার।।

আছে তো তার পরে বারো মাস -
উঠিবে কত কথা, কত হাস।
আসিবে কত লোক, কত-না দুখশোক,
সে কথা কোনখানে পাবে নাশ -
জগৎ চলে যাবে বারো মাস।।

ব্যাকুল বেগে আজি বহে বায়,
বিজুলি থেকে থেকে চমকায়।
যে কথা এ জীবনে রহিয়া গেল মনে
সে কথা আজি যেন বলা যায়
এমন ঘনঘোর বরিষায়।

বৃষ্টি এলো কাশবনে
জাগলো সাড়া ঘাসবনে
বকের সারি কোথায় রে
লুকিয়ে গেলো বাঁশবনে।

নদীতে নাই খেয়া যে
ডাকলো দূরে দেয়া যে
কোন সে বনের আড়ালে
ফুটলো আবার কেয়া যে।
গাঁয়ের নামটি হাটখোলা
বৃষ্টি-বাদল দেয় দোলা
রাখাল ছেলে মেঘ দেখে
যায় দাঁড়িয়ে পথ ভোলা।
মেঘের আধার মন টানে
যায় সে ছুটে কোনখানে
আউস ধানের মাঠ ছেড়ে
আমন ধানের মাঠ পানে।

He rode in a cold winter day
His eyes a mysterious shade of gray
He got off the horse and came right in
He was personified sin

He held out his arms so big and strong
And I knew what I had done to him was wrong
My secret lover in the back of my mind
The tears that pricked my eyes made me blind

I couldn't take it anymore
I collapsed in a pile on the floor
He rushed to my side to help me to my feet
I wish he had thrown me out on the street

I had betrayed him and he didn't know it
How could he I didn't show it

I am sorry yet again for causing you pain.

I lay next to you watching you lay
why couldn't I have done everything to make you stay.
I look back at all our smiles and frowns.
wondering how we made it through all the ups and downs.
I gently brush your hair behind your ear.
Loosing you was my one and only fear.
why do all things great come to an end.
you were my baby, my wife, even my friend.
how could I not see you slowly fading away.
I made myself believe everything was ok.
but I was too blind to see.

My Mistake

I admit I made a mistake
Over stepping some boundaries
which made me look fake.

I always said I would never do the things I did,
and that is the reason it is so hard for you to forgive.

It's been so long,
so many times we said we'd try
only to turn around
and make each other cry

Remember how it was when we first started out,
So much alike, we shared every thought
We fell so fast, maybe fell in love too soon
Made a huge decision that now we cannot undo.

I admit my mistakes but can you admit yours,
I have paid for what I've done
as you have paid for yours,
so why is it like this,
we can't even talk.
You call me liar and say you don't care
All the while my love for you is still there

I never meant to hurt you,
never wanted to cause you any pain
Since you left me 5 months ago
My life hasn't been the same.

I owe you so much,
I have so much to prove to you,
So I will end this with the hardest thing I'll ever have to do,

I don't know how to do it,
But I got to do right,
I need to say I'm sorry,
I don't want to see us fight.
I'm staring at the clouds,
I sit and reminisce,
I remember all the good times we had
I remember our first kiss
I don't want to have to end it,
I don't want to see it go free,
I want to be able to feel you lips
Not just in my dreams,
Although I constantly dream of you,
It just doesn't seem enough,
I want to see you face,
I want to feel your touch,
I want you in my bed,
Hugging and kissing me,
I want you in my bed,
Making love to me,
I miss all the times we've shared
And I can't stand to let it go,
Over something that I did
I really went down low,
I shared a kiss with someone else,
When I should only be kissing you,
And right after I did that
I felt I wasn't true,
Even though he kissed me,
And I didn't kiss him back,
My mistake was,
Not moving and stepping back,
It meant absolutely nothing,
When his lips were touching mine,
I could only see your face,
Running through my mind,
But out of everything I did the most,
The real reason why I cried,
Instead of being honest
I sat there and I lied,
Damn I want to turn back time,
And just tell you what went down,
I wouldn't be writing this,
I wouldn't have this frown,
You'd be able to trust me,
You wouldn't want to leave,
I would be able to hold a smile,
I'd be able to breathe,
Because I did that one thing,
My life is just mess,
Because I lied to you,
I'm suffering from stress,
I'm suffering from a broken heart,
Because I broke yours,
But then karma came and turned on me,
And you messed with other girls,
Damn that really hurt me,
But I really do get why,
Why you did that to me,
Why you made me cry,
I know those other girls meant nothing,
They were just revenge,
Well it really worked,
I'm not going to pretend,
Pretend that I'm not jealous,
Because I really am,
I don't even know the girl,
And she got me saying damn,
I wish I wouldn't have lied to you,
I want to make it work
I want to be your only one,
I don't want to have to search,
Search for a different man,
Cause I only want you
But when I close my eyes,
And I open and your not there,
A tear runs down my face,
I can't act like I don't care,

How could I be so stupid
To let you slip away
I had you in my arms

I want you back
But now it's too late
I've already said goodbye
And now love had turned to hate

I want to go back in time
And fix all that was wrong
Change all of my regrets
So we didn't fight as long

The regrets are what messed it up
And they were all my fault
I was so immature
I should of acted like an adult

I broke my own heart
When I walked out on you
